Support the temple

Tam Kung Temple has served generations of Chinese Canadians and Victorians since 1876. Your support helps us care for one of Canada's oldest Chinese temples — today and through the road ahead.

Following the fire of June 15, our directors are working with fire officials, restoration specialists, and insurance providers, and a full assessment is still underway. We'll share detailed restoration plans and any funding needs once we know more.

In the meantime, the Yen Wo Society continues its work preserving the temple, and gifts of any size are gratefully received. Every contribution helps protect an irreplaceable piece of Chinese Canadian history.

The wooden statue of Tam Kung survived the fire — just as it passed unscathed through an earlier fire in 1980. In the midst of uncertainty, it remains a symbol of resilience and hope.
